Taking part in the open studios was a great experience, and we had a great turnout over the 10 days. There was lots of sunshine and tea and coffee, and a large collection of pieces that have come out of Ingrid’s studio in the last three years.

Also in the space were paintings by friends, both amateur and professional: felt works by Ulrike Miele; a sculptural installation by Robert Bremner; weaving by Beth Harbinson and a variety of crafty objects on sale. Young writer Freija Patterson spent part of the week at the Steadings finishing her children’s story ‘The Caterpillar’s April Fools’ while Ingrid started illustrations.
